Review: TonyMoly Delight Circle Lens Maker

4:16 PM

So for today's review, i'll be talking about TonyMoly's Delight Circle Lens Maker, a product I have actually not heard much about.

First of all, what's up with the name of this product? Circle lens maker? I'm not sure if that's just some good old Engrish or if the eyeshadow stick is really supposed to make it look like you're wearing circle lenses. Personally, I think it's a normal eyeshadow stick, and doesn't change the appearance of my pupils whatsoever :P

Product Description and Claims:
(from koreadepart)

-Eye shadow that creates sharp eye makeup with baked type without flakes.
-Natural gradation with 2 kinds of dual colour creates big and delicate eye look.
-Vitamin E extract with excellent nourishment delivery protects skin of the eyes.

This stick eye shadow comes with three pairs of colours (so 6 colours in total)
The one I will be reviewing today is #2 Natural Brown

I believe this product comes in two versions, one with white packaging and another with black packaging. The old version is the sleek and elegant black packaging shown on the right, and on the left side is the newer cuter looking version :D Personally, I prefer the old version, it looks more sophisticated. (Thank you kisekichion reddit for correcting me~ )

(I have the older version of the Delight Circle Lense Maker)

Main Ingredients:
-Shea buter
-Jojoba seed oil
-Castor oil

Packaging:
I really find that this product has a very cool packaging. The eyeshadow comes on the caps, rather than inside the stick like most stick-form-eyeshadows.

Picture of the stick with and without the eyeshadow caps

Picture of the caps. They are pretty deep, so there is definitely more eyeshadow than it seems.

The applicator is a spongy round tip that glides on very smoothly on the eyes.

Swatches:

The upper shade is a a very pretty copper shade. Really great for the outer corners of the eyes, to create more dimension.

The lower shade is SO GORGEOUS. Absolutely love it, it is a beautiful champagne-pearly-white, with a hint of gold. It is my favorite thing to highlight the inner corners of my eyes and to enhance the aegyosal (that I don't have :( )

Both colours are shimmery, not so much glittery though. If you are looking for something matte, this could work since the shimmers are very subtle.

How To Use:
(What TonyMoly says)
Upper  Colour: Emphasizes upside of pupils, making clear eyes.
Under Colour: Apply this from front of your eye to the start point of your pupil, drawing gradation.

Since I have eyestick #2, I like to use the lighter champagne shade on the inner corner of my eyes (or on the aegyosal), and the darker brown on the outer corner of my lids. (Shown in the pic below)

Here, I only applied the two colours of the eyeshadow stick and NOTHING ELSE. The colour payoff is better than the picture portrays. I put on the eyeshadow with the applicator of the stick, and didn't need any other brushes to blend or smudge.

Pros:
-Very smooth and buttery-like texture
-Nice colours
-Great pigmentation
-Easy to travel with, since no brushes are needed
-Long Lasting

Cons:
-Can get a little messy, since you have no precise control while using this stick
-Packaging is made of cheap plastic (which resulted in my caps cracking on the edges, as shown below)

Conclusion:
Great eyeshadow stick! It comes in a powder form just like a regular shadow, rather than the cream texture that stick shadows usually come in. Definitely recommend it, it isn't pricey and the results are very rewarding :D

Score:
9/10

Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this review! ^_^ Feel free to share your thoughts and feelings about this product :D
