Review: Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer

12:26 AM

Hello everybody! Today i'll be reviewing Etude House's Proof 10 Eye Primer! It is a product that i've lately been obsessed with, read on to find out why!

So I first got this product on my korean makeup haul a few months ago, and ever since I haven't been able to put this primer down. Now, I used to be one of those girls who didn't use primer because who cares, i'm happy the way my makeup looks but DAMN! I've been seriously missing out!!

Product claims and description:

Proof 10 eye primer supplies coverage to eyelids and around the eyes to enhance eye shadow colour and integrity (?dafuq english?) for a long lastich Perfect 10 (again, makes no sense) look.

So basically this eye primer claims to provide some coverage to the eyes and to make your eye shadows more long lasting and vibrant.

Ingredients:
TALC, ISODODECANE, VP/HEXADECENE COPOLYMER, MICA, TRIMETHYLSILOXYSILICATE, CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE TRIHYDROXYSTEARIN, SILICA DIMETHYL SILYLATE, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, SORBITAN SESQUIOLEATE, PEG-40 STEARATE, BEESWAX, PROPYLENE CARBONATE, DIMETHICONE, CYCLOHEXASILOXANE, METHICONE, BHT, PROPYLPARABEN, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499

Texture:

The texture is definitely more to the creamy side, and I love it that way. It doesn't feel too thick, and it blends very easily as well. Great! Also, as seen from the swatch above, this primer has a slight slight almost unnoticeable sheen to it. (I didn't notice it until I swatched it on my arm)

Packaging:

As usual, packaging from Etude House is always on point. It has a doe foot applicator and a super long shimmery blue wand to help with the application. Simple yet cute looking packaging.

Performance:
I LOVE this! It definitely makes the eye shadows POP but what I most like about it is how long lasting it makes my makeup. It just holds everything in place, from eyeshadow to eyeliner to mascara. Even after about 7-8 hours, my makeup looks just as good (or with a tiny teeny difference) from when I first put it on.

When it comes to the coverage though, this is a primer and not a concealer, so I wasn't expecting anything in the first place. It indeed didn't really cover anything, but that is absolutely ok with me.

Swatches:

As you guys can see, the primer does aid on the vibrance of the colours. I didn't notice it until I swatched this TBH, I was way too enthralled on how it made my eye makeup long lasting that I ignored everything else this primer did. For those who are curious, the eyeshadows are from my Estée Lauder Deluxe Eyeshadow Compact.

Price:
Since it's Etude House, it is as usual very affordable. I think I got it for about 6 USD but i'm not too sure. You can get it for $5.5 at Etude House's official site.

Pros:
-Makes eye makeup long lasting
-Keeps eye makeup in place
-Makes eyeshadows more intense in colour
-Affordable
-Not heavy
-Cute simple packaging

Cons:
Can't think of any tbh. When I do i'll update this.

Conclusion:
I never wore primer before, but ever since I discovered this I haven't been able to keep my hands off it. I use it EVERY SINGLE TIME I do eye makeup, even if i'm in a hurry. I have super oily eyelids so my eyeshadow and my eyeliner would always fade and move around, luckily I now have this primer to prevent that from happening. Recommend? YES!

SCORE:
10/10

Since the heat is approaching, our skins are very likely to oil up! I'll be definitely appreciate this once the humidity tries to melt away my makeup~

Hope this post was informative and helpful!! Kisses XOXO

  12. Ah, now that you mention it, it's so true that this one makes the colors more vibrant! I've been using it so often for a long while that I kind of forgot how it changes up the colors... I only loved the long-lasting effect. Now I'll have to re-try all my colorful summer eyeshadows to see the difference! :D
