Review: NoTS 28 Remedy Aqua Brightening Peeling Gel

4:30 PM

Hello beauties! Today i've written up yet another review ^_^

Before I start, I would like to disclose that this product was sent to me by Q-Depot, for more information about sponsored posts check out my disclaimer. Needless to say, all opinions and thoughts about this peeling gel have remained unbiased. This post will also include affiliate links.

When Q-Depot contacted me about this brand, I was immediately intrigued and interested to collaborate! NoTS (which stands for Noble Through Skin) is a new Korean beauty brand that focuses specifically on skincare for people with sensitive skin. The brand is promoting itself on the high-end market, and that definitely reflects on their beautiful and luxurious looking packaging! To top it off, they are a CRUELTY FREE brand! Find out more about the brand on their website, it's really quite a fresh and fascinating policy they have.

Product Description and Claims:

Performance

I tried the product many times before writing this review, and I must say that i'm very happy with it! Since it's a peeling gel, it basically exfoliate your skin by removing you dead skin cells.

I've heard of peeling gels leaving a lot of irritation since they can be quite harsh, but this one was extremely gentle and didn't irritate my skin at all! If it wasn't for the dead skin cells forming into little beads on my skin, I wouldn't even think that my skin was being exfoliated.

Ingredients

The fact that it alcohol is one of the first ingredients listed might be quite off-putting since this is targeted to sensitive skins. Personally, I didn't experience any redness or harshness (I have oily/combination skin).

Packaging

The packaging for this product is just a simple squeezing tube. Great plus, since it keeps bacteria from breeding on the gel.

Consistency
The name of the product makes the consistency pretty self-explanatory, it's a gel. Once you rub it into the skin, it exfoliates the dead skin cells which kind of look like little beads (picture on the right).

Scent
This gel has a very pleasant smell, it's got a very fresh and clean scent (not sure if you get what I mean). It's pretty subtle, not overwhelming at all.

Price
Since NoTS is a high-end brand, their products are a little pricey. You can get it for 21.60USD from Q-Depot.

Results
I feel like whenever I use this peeling gel before I start my night skincare routine, I wake up the next day with glowing and radiant skin. It helps the skin absorb the other products better, as it has gotten rid of the layer of dead skin cells laying on your face. However, I wouldn't recommend using this too regularly, about 1-2 times a week should be good enough.
As to the brightening effects, I haven't noticed any significant changes yet. My skin looks smoother and healthier, but not necessarily brighter (perhaps I have to use it for a longer period to see further effects).

 Pros:
-Cruelty free brand
-Hygienic packaging
-Gentle on the skin
-Nice scent
-Improves complexion of the skin
-Allows products to be absorbed better
-Makes skin glow the next day

Cons:
-Pricey
-New brand so might be hard to find

Conclusion:
Recommend? Yes, if you are willing to invest! Repurchase? If it becomes more accessible (since I can't find this brand easily at the moment).
Score:
8/10
